Africa’s Youth Voices
Online Conference Series
What is Africa’s Youth Voices?
Africa’s Youth Voices is an annual online conference series intended to foster collaboration, build solidarity, and develop joint messages from youth living in Africa ahead of the annual Conferences of the Parties (COP).
Held via monthly online meetings, that include translation rooms, and the opportunity to engage with fellow climate activists from different African countries, we hope it will allow for broader engagement amongst your community and constituents, for their calls for change to be amplified.
It’s time for the youth to take control of the climate justice narrative with Africa’s realities at the centre!
Our aims:
Foster collaboration amongst young activists from different African countries.
Develop joint messages from youth living in Africa that can be delivered to leaders at the annual Conference of the Parties.
Create a safe space for young people to share their lived realities and voice their concerns and frustrations when it comes to climate inaction.
Build solidarity and encourage young people to use their voices to speak up for justice and change.
Co-create online advocacy campaigns that amplify the voices and climate justice demands of young people across the contintent.
